Judge John Mott was appointed by President Clinton to the DC Superior Court bench in 2000, after nearly 15 years in the courtroom as a public defender and civil rights prosecutor.

The Rockefeller Center is co-hosting with the Center for Professional Development this student coffee hour with Judge John Mott.
Speaker Bio:
Judge John M. Mott was appointed by President Clinton to the District of Columbia Superior Court bench in July 2000, after nearly 15 years in the courtroom as a public defender and civil rights prosecutor. On the bench, Judge Mott has served on the Civil, Criminal, and the Family Court branches of the Superior Court, presiding over a wide array of civil, felony, misdemeanor, domestic violence, domestic relations, abuse and neglect, adoption, and juvenile delinquency matters, among others. For the last several years, Judge Mott has taught an L.L.M. course at George Washington School of Law entitled “The American Jury.” Judge Mott graduated from Dartmouth College in 1981, where he was the captain of the Ski Team and a member of the Casque and Gauntlet senior honor society.
