Tatyana Gao is a Program Officer for Co-Curricular Programs at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and Social Sciences.

Prior to joining the Rockefeller Center’s team, she worked at the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding as an Office Assistant and a Student Adviser for International Internships and Fellowships.

Previously, Tatyana served as a Mandela Washington Fellowship Program Assistant for President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative, and earlier as a member of the internships and fellowships Selection Committee for Think Impact, Seeds of Peace, and American University in Kosovo.

Tatyana graduated in 2014 from Dartmouth College with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies in Globalization. She also holds a combination B.A. & M.A. degree in Romance Languages, Literature, and Education from Kuban State University of Krasnodar, Russia. Having a Russian cultural background, she appreciates cultural diversity and loves learning about other cultures. She sees herself as a cultural bridge between people, which inspires her to teach cultural awareness and inclusion to students as one of the core values of leadership. In her free time, Tatyana enjoys West Coast Swing dance and traveling.
