Get connected with resources that provide valuable opportunities for education, experience, and career development.

How about a Public Policy Minor? You can enroll in the Public Policy Minor and choose a track of study that suits your interests. Possible policy tracks include any of the above, or a policy track of your own design. The Public Policy Minor is open to Dartmouth undergraduates from all majors who seek a coherent program of study in the field of public policy, broadly defined. The environment, health care, social justice, gender issues, and the domestic economy are all impacted by public policy. Urban development, international relations, law and society, science and technology, and education involve policymaking as well. Pursuing a Public Policy Minor not only provides you with worthwhile academic experience, it offers valuable opportunities for dialogue with the leading policymakers of our day, practical experience, and career development. Faculty from across the social sciences and interdisciplinary programs offer courses that address policy issues in their field of research. Supported by the Rockefeller Center, distinguished guests offer their perspectives in the classroom. Once enrolled in the minor, students are invited to attend seminars and dinner discussions with visiting scholars and policymakers.
"Nowhere else can undergraduate students get an opportunity to directly influence the formation of policy, especially in the 'real-world.' Due to the practical nature of the programs and the diversity of policy issues discussed, the Public Policy Minor is a fantastic complement to your major no matter what your interests may be." -Brian McMillan '08
