In honor of Peter McSpadden '52's internship experiences and his involvement in government, the McSpadden family established an internship grant as part of the old Public Affairs Center. The McSpadden Family, as one of the Rockefeller Center's biggest supporters, has given an annual gift to boost the endowment, now incorporated into the Rockefeller Center's Internship Grant Program. In addition, they have endowed the McSpadden Public Issues Forum, an on-campus complement to the internship grant that funds public affairs-related events put on by Dartmouth student organizations. The McSpadden Grant supports one intern a term.
