The Rockefeller Center “will succeed only to the extent that it instills in students the love and respect for knowledge and commitment to service that characterized Nelson A. Rockefeller's life.” Dartmouth College President David T. McLaughlin '54 at the Center's 1983 dedication.
The programs and events the Rockefeller Center offers are made possible through the generosity of those who believe that we can make a difference. We at the Center want to be able in ten years to have a cadre of dedicated citizens working in many capacities for the common good-individuals who can proudly say "I got my start at the Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth College." More students than ever are seeking access to the comprehensive education and training programs that the Center provides. Whether engaging in the First-Year Initiative, the Civic Skills Training, the public policy minor, the Policy Research Shop, leadership development, or internships, your generosity to the Center is critical.
We view the growth of our curricular and co-curricular programs as critical ways we support Dartmouth’s mission to educate the most promising students and prepare them for a lifetime of learning and responsible leadership. The Rockefeller Center is the place on campus where these skills and interests are cultivated. Our challenge is to maintain the highest quality in our programming and accommodate the increasing numbers of students who want to participate without sacrificing the individualized attention and we devote to the programs and their participants. Our Friends Appeal goal this year is $100,000. We ask for your help in meeting this goal. Your generosity directly supports the students and will have a significant impact on their undergraduate experience.
You may be just starting out in your careers, or still in school, but we want to keep in touch. By making a small donation to the Rockefeller Center you will be added to our Young Alum Supporters List. You will automatically receive our newsletter, and electronic updates called Rocky Shorts. But most importantly, you will be helping to support something that was meaningful to your Dartmouth experience.
