Candidate Bios:

Dan Feltes spent almost a decade with New Hampshire Legal Assistance as a legal aid attorney during the Great Recession fighting for Granite Staters crushed by foreclosure and job loss, and looking out for seniors, veterans, and victims of domestic violence. He now serves as the Majority Leader in the New Hampshire State Senate. At age 41, he is the youngest Majority Leader in New Hampshire history. Senator Feltes is a champion for working families. He's sponsored legislation to establish a paid family and medical leave program, expand access to health care, invest in job training and workforce development, and fund full day kindergarten. He believes everyday Granite Staters are being left out and left behind with crushing health care costs, property taxes, child care, and electric rates and as Governor will be committed to working for everyday Granite Staters each and every day.  Dan lives in Concord with his wife, Erin, and their two daughters. He earned his law degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in public policy degree from Georgetown University.

Andru Volinsky grew up in a town reminiscent of New Hampshire's declining mill towns with struggling schools. His father was a trade union member who worked as a mechanic and maintenance man. His mother was a homemaker. Andru earned a scholarship to college and worked as a carpenter and in a factory. He is the only one in his family to attend and graduate from college. Andru was the lead lawyer in the 1997 Claremont school funding case that ruled every child deserves a strong and competitive state-funded public education. The failure of both political parties to address our broken property tax and school funding system is why he is running for governor. He has served on the Executive Council since 2016.
