GAO is Looking for Summer Interns; Has Entry-Level Positions Available

The U.S. Government Accountability Office is looking to hire throughout 2013!  They are looking to hire entry-level professionals, paid summer graduate interns, and volunteer undergraduate interns.

Paid graduate summer internship opportunities are posted now, and students can apply online through USA Jobs through December 7 (find us under Legislative Branch agencies).  The best part about our paid graduate summer internships is that if a student completes 400 hours he/she may have the opportunity to convert to a permanent position upon graduation without reapplying.

Entry-level hiring opportunities for our Professional Development Program are planned to be posted on USA Jobs from December 5 through December 19.  The program is primarily targeted at those completing graduate programs, but there are exceptions.

Beginning in January, students will be able to apply for volunteer opportunities on a rolling basis, and applications will be reviewed quarterly (starting in March).  These positions are perfect for Dartmouth undergrads on their off-terms as well as students who may be participating in Washington, DC-based FSPs.
Application deadlines are fast approaching! The best way to find out more information about these open positions is at the GAO Careers website.  You can also contact Allison L.B. Bawden by email.
