[more]"One of my favorite parts of the internship was connecting with interns in other offices through weekly professional development by the White House Internship Program. We had a speaker series where principals and senior staff would speak to the internship class and offer words of advice."
[more]"My biggest takeaway from this internship was that while working in civil rights law is not easy, it is immensely rewarding. The constituents reaching out to us were often having one of the worst experiences of their lives, and for us to be able to help them through it was truly amazing."
[more]"Building an understanding of how the hierarchies and bureaucracies in Washington work is best learned on the job, but bringing subject-matter expertise with a versatile personality is a key to succeeding on the Hill."
