Every year and in every academic term, the Rockefeller Center funds undergraduates interested in an internship experience in public policy, politics, law and social entrepreneurship. Students discover there is a policy dimension to all majors on campus.
The National Society of Leadership and Success surveys show 96 percent of undergraduates say an internship experience prepared them for a career. Surveys also demonstrate the preference employers have for hiring those with internship experience.
This past academic year, Rocky supported twenty-five students working at a wide range of organizations, from Capitol Hill offices to Washington, DC “Think Tanks,” and a Pennsylvania District Attorney’s Office. The Rockefeller Center provides resources, advising and training but finding, applying and securing an internship is part of the experience for students.
New this past year is a partnership with the Dartmouth Center for Career Design (DCCD). To make it easier for students to apply to Rocky, we have joined DCCD’s Handshake internship application portal and collaborated on funding.
As an undergraduate at Dartmouth, there is no better place to marry theory and practice than spending part of a D-Plan engaged in a Rocky internship.
