Leslie R. Wagner-Ould Ismail is a Program Officer for Co-Curricular Programs for the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences. She joined the center in December of 2019 and manages the Rockefeller Global Leadership Program (RGLP) and the Rockefeller Leadership Fellows (RLF) program.
Leslie’s background is in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Most recently, she worked as the coordinator and teacher in an English as a Second Language program in a Philadelphia charter school. Prior to that she spent several years at the Center for Intensive English Studies at Florida State University, where she taught language courses and developed curriculum and materials. In 2012, Leslie spent nine months as a volunteer English teacher in Puerto Montt, Chile through the English Opens Doors Program, a collaboration between the Chilean Ministry of Education and the United Nations Development Programme.
Leslie holds a master’s degree in Foreign and Second Language Teaching and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, both from Florida State University.
As a native Floridian, Leslie is enjoying the cooler temperatures and changing seasons in the Upper Valley. Her hobbies include walking her dog, trying new restaurants and cuisines, and traveling.
