Brian Zheng

First-Year Fellowship: World Resources Institute; Mentor: Gregory Taff

Brian Zheng ‘24 is from Naperville, Illinois, where he graduated from Naperville North High School. At Naperville North, Brian was the captain of the speech team, where he won four individual state championships and a national title in Extemporaneous Speaking. At Dartmouth, he is majoring in Government and pursuing an interest in environmental policy. On campus, he is an Army ROTC cadet, sings with The Dartmouth Cords, and writes for The Dartmouth, while also being a member of the Dartmouth Democrats. He is passionate about both environmental and energy policy, and is especially interested in the intersection between climate change and social inequality at all levels, from municipalities to global organizations. After graduation, Brian plans to serve active-duty in the U.S. Army before attending law school in hopes of becoming an environmental lawyer.
