Hi'ilani Hopkins

Class of 2021 Rockefeller Leadership Fellow - Asynchronous Cohort

Hi’ilani Hopkins (’21) is from Kailua, Hawai’i and graduated from the Kamehameha Schools Kapalama campus. Hi’ilani is a Biology major and Global Health minor, with a particular interest in health inequities and disparities. At Dartmouth, she volunteers as part of the Patient Support Corps at DHMC to make health care a more comprehensive and interactive experience for patients and works at the Hopkins Center Box Office and the Kresge Library. Hi’ilani completed research work in epigenomics at the University of Hawai’i during Spring/Summer 2020, and this sparked her interest in pursuing graduate studies in Epidemiology. After graduation, Hi’ilani plans to pursue graduate school and eventually move back home to Hawai’i to contribute to efforts in improving Native Hawaiian health.
