Janine D'Souza

First-Year Fellowship: Save the Children; Mentor: Gabriella Garcia '01

Janine D’Souza ‘24 comes from Greenville, South Carolina and graduated from Riverside High School with honors. At Riverside, Janine served as the captain of her nationally ranked speech and debate team, earning awards at local, state, and national levels. She also served in leadership roles in National Honors Society and High School Democrats and was a 2020 US Senate Youth Program Scholar. At Dartmouth, Janine plans on pursuing a major in Government and minors in Public Policy and Middle Eastern Studies. She is a Dartmouth Center for Social Impact Foundations Fellow, an opinion writer for The Dartmouth, and a Dickey Center Great Issues Scholar. She continues to volunteer in her hometown as a high school tutor and in local politics. After graduation, Janine plans to attend law school to pursue a career in public interest law.
