Lily Hemmins

First-Year Fellowship: World Resources Institute; Mentor: Gregory Taff

Lily Hemmins ’24 was born and raised in Oxford, Mississippi and graduated from Oxford High School as a Nationally Certified Peer Educator, National Merit Commended Student, and AP Scholar with Distinction. While in high school, Lily was Student Body Vice President, Founder and President of Soles4Souls, and member of the Varsity Dance Team and orchestra. She completed 200+ hours of peer tutoring and mentoring and registered more than 350 students and teachers to vote. At Dartmouth, Lily plans to pursue a major in Sociology with minors in Public Policy and Education. She participated in Dartmouth’s Center for Social Impact Foundations Program and is an Associate of Women in Business and member of Women in Law and Politics. Lily is unsure of her plans following graduation but is considering law school or another graduate program and hopes to pursue a career in the public sector, law, nongovernmental organizations, or business administration.
