Mark Tao

First-Year Fellowship: Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; Mentor: Jay Matson '91 and Nancy Bowler '82

Mark Tao ‘23 grew up in Dallas, TX, where he graduated with high honors from St. Mark’s School of Texas. During high-school, he wrote for several nationally-recognized publications and worked as a science teacher for middle-school students. At Dartmouth, he plans to pursue a computer science major with planned minors in public policy and quantitative social science. He currently works as an associate editor for the Dartmouth Law Journal and serves as a consultant for Dartmouth’s non-profit consulting group. He is also an alum of the Magnuson Center’s 3-day start up program and a general ambassador for the Coalition for Immigrant Reform and Equality at Dartmouth (CoFIRED). In his free time, Mark enjoys playing volleyball with the men’s club team, attending Collis After Dark events, and going on hikes with the DOC. After graduation, he hopes to attend grad school and eventually pursue a career involving public service, policy research, and international relations.
