Mehak Batra

First-Year Fellowship: Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget; Mentor: Cathy Solomon '88

Mehak Batra '24 lives in Houston, Texas and graduated from St. John's School with a cum laude distinction. In high school, Mehak was the Texas Junior State of America Director of Fundraising, captain of the debate team, and president of the South-Asian Affinity Group. She also participated actively in her school newspaper and Model United Nations team. At Dartmouth, Mehak plans to pursue a double major in Government and Economics with a minor in Public Policy. She is a Women in Business Associate, Dartmouth Finance Society Energy and Infrastructure Team Member, and a member of the Dartmouth Investment and Philanthropy Club. She leads her fellow peers as a First Year Engagement Coordinator for Dartmouth South House Council and through her job as a Pan-Asian Student Coordinator for Dartmouth's Office of Pluralism and Leadership. After graduation, Mehak plans to work in consulting or finance before going to law school.
