Oghenevbore "Esther" Omene

Class of 2021 Rockefeller Leadership Fellow - Synchronous Cohort

Oghenevbore "Esther" Omene ’21 is from Alpharetta, GA and graduated magna cum laude from Alpharetta High School with high distinctions in academics, music, and service. At Dartmouth, Oghenevbore is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Engineering degrees with a major in Computer Engineering. Oghenevbore is passionate about activism, service, and the arts. On campus, she is heavily involved in the Afro-American Society and is an avid member of the Dartmouth Glee Club. She has also participated on the Dartmouth Step Team and the Dartmouth Sings a cappella group in the past. In her efforts to combat the unequal access to cultural amenities on campus, Oghenevbore started an independent hair care business for people of color. Additionally, she works with the Dartmouth Library, the Academic Skills Center, and the Hopkins Center of the Arts—as a house manager. After graduation, she plans to enter the work field as a software engineer.
