Zhishan "Coco" Chu

Class of 2021 Rockefeller Leadership Fellow - Synchronous Cohort

Zhishan (Coco) Chu ’21 grew up in Shenzhen, China and graduated from St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Texas. At Dartmouth, Coco is a double major in Biology and Romance Languages. She is on the pre-med track and is passionate about equitable health care access and the business and administration aspects of the healthcare industry. She is the co-founder and president of the Dartmouth chapter of Musial Empowerment and volunteers for the Tobacco Cessation Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock to make quit materials accessible to patients. Additionally, she has worked as a teaching co-chair for Growing Change and as a Presidential Scholar in cancer immunotherapy research. During her freshman summer, she interned at a programming center for uninsured and disabled children in Shenzhen, China and interviewed patient families. This summer, Coco will be working at a healthcare consulting firm. She enjoys cooking, running, and spinning during her free time.
