[more]On Friday, April 21st, 2023, Air National Guardsman, former Congressman, and senior political commentator Adam Kinzinger came to Dartmouth College to deliver a speech entitled, "Empowering the Reasonable Majority: Rejecting Division, Defending, and Repairing American Democracy."
[more]In his evening lecture, titled "Do Voters Actually Care About Federal Budget Deficits? How Partisan Bias Shapes the Importance of Issues," Professor Kane unpacked the findings in this paper, sharing his hypothesis that "partisans will adjust the importance of deficit spending based upon the party of the incumbent president."

[more]On Thursday, February 2, 2023, Dartmouth students, faculty, and Hanover community members gathered to hear a lecture from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Heather Ann Thompson. Professor Thompson's 2016 book, Blood in the Water: The Attica Prison Uprising of 1971 and its Legacy gained her widespread acclaim, and the reputation as a leading historian on the Attica uprising. Thompson is currently a Professor of History and African American Studies at the University of Michigan.
