Michael S. Rockefeller '86

Michael Rockefeller is the co-founder and chairman of ActiveMedia Services. Founded in 1996, ActiveMedia offers online business experience to its clients with services of website optimization, online usability, marketing strategies, and design. Recent clients include Prascik, Blazing Saddles, SmartBlock Strategies, Old Mansion Foods, and Inorganic Ventures. Michael consulted for America Online's Greenhouse after he earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He provided business, planning, and marketing expertise to websites like The HUB, Urban Legends, PicturePlace and iGolf, among other sites.

Michael's board involvement includes MOUSE, Strategic Advisory Council; Sous Commanderie De New York, Board of Directors, president; Gramercy Park Block Association, Advisory Board; Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Board of Directors (former); Venrock Capital, Board of Directors (former); National Institute for the Blind, Advisory Board (former); and HEAVEN, chairman of the board (former).

At Dartmouth, he has served as an Alumni Fund, participation agent; Alumni Fund, leadership agent; Alumni Fund, class agent; and Reunion Giving Committee.
