Join us for a conversation with Matthew Yglesias, the founder and author of Slow Boring subscription newsletter, for a conversation on the downfall and death of neoliberalism after the election of President Donald Trump in 2016.

After Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, both political parties have repudiated past economic policies - rejecting neoliberalism for a new interventionism. The Trump administration rejected free trade and fiscal constraints while the Biden administration embraced industrial policy, aggressive antitrust enforcement, and even flirted with price controls. One of America's preeminent political analysts considers these new developments and their future.

The conversation will be moderated by Douglas Irwin, John French Professor of Economics and Co-Director of Political Economy Project.
