Student Facilitators

D-LAB trains a strong and cohesive team of student leaders each year to facilitate the program's small-group discussions. These students are positioned as mentors to their first-year peers and are responsible for catalyzing important discussions about values and leadership in action.

Student facilitator involvement includes the following:

Training:

Training will consist of approximately 8.5 cumulative hours of in-person training split between 2 sessions. There will be approximately 30 minutes of asynchronous training (videos and preparation) to be completed prior to each session.

                   Tentative schedule for training:

                   Sunday, January 9: 12:00pm- 5:00pm EST
                   Friday, January 14:   3:30pm- 7:00pm EST

Co-facilitation:

Co-facilitation of seven 1-hour session with first-year students. D-LAB groups will be meeting on Monday OR Tuesday this year. In late December, if you are selected, you will be asked to indicate if your session preference is the Monday or Tuesday session time. You will then be assigned a session time, a group, and a co-facilitator.

Sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in becoming D-LAB facilitators apply here.

Applicants will complete a group interview and, if needed, a one on one interview.  Facilitators interested in participating in D-LAB for the year 2021-2022 should apply by Friday, December 10, 2021.
