Student Facilitators

D-LAB trains a strong and cohesive team of student leaders each year to facilitate the program's small-group discussions. These students are positioned as mentors to their first-year peers and are responsible for catalyzing important discussions about values and leadership in action.

Student facilitator involvement includes

Training

Training will consist of approximately 5 hours of in-person training.

Co-facilitation

Co-facilitation of seven 1-hour sessions with first-year students. D-LAB groups will tentatively be meeting on Monday OR Tuesday this year. In late December, if you are selected, you will be asked to indicate if your session preference is the Monday or Tuesday session time. You will then be assigned a session time, a group, and a co-facilitator.

Sophomores, juniors, or seniors interested in becoming D-LAB facilitators can apply here in Fall when the application opens.

Applicants will complete a group interview and, if needed, a one on one interview. Facilitators interested in participating in D-LAB for the year 2023 should apply by December 9th, 2022. The Winter 2024 deadline will be announced in fall.
