Alum Michael Belinsky '08 featured in the Economist
>>During his time at Dartmouth, Michael Belinsky was involved in a number of Rocky programs including RLF and the 2007 Democratic Presidential Debate. He has also given back to undergrads as a MLDP speaker.
Belinsky was recently quoted in the Economist for his work at Instiglio, a start-up which uses the "social impact bond" concept in developing countries. As the venture grows, Instiglio has offered internship opportunities for students interested in social impact.
Policy Research Shop featured in the New Hampshire Union Leader
>>Three Dartmouth students involved with the Rockefeller Center's Policy Research Shop presented a 19-page report to Grafton County commissioners about the various outcomes for their demolished jail last year. Their work was mentioned in an article by the Union Leader.
Andrew Longhi '14 in the Huffington Post
>>Andrew Longhi '14 is a student intern working at The Equity Project at the National Juvenile Defender Center in Washington, D.C. He recently published an article for the Huffington Post, entitled "Youth Issues and Youth Involvement: A Glaring Gap in the LGBT Movement". The article focuses on the often-ignored injustices of the juvenile social system towards LGBT youth.
Professor Charles Wheelan releases new book, Naked Statistics
>>Public policy and economics professor Charles Wheelan recently published a book called Naked Statistics: Stripping the Dread for the Data. He was featured on New Hampshire Public Radio to discuss why interpreting the deluge of statistics in our digital age is very useful, and can even be fun.
On April 19, Wheelan will also be launching another book called The Centrist Party.
