Brief Description of the organization:
Search for Common Ground (Search) is an international non-profit organization that promotes peaceful resolution of conflict. With headquarters in Washington, DC, Search's mission is to transform how individuals, organizations, and governments deal with conflict - away from adversarial approaches and toward cooperative solutions. With a total of approximately 800 staff worldwide, Search implements projects from 54 offices in 34 countries, including in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
Brief Description of the Intern's role or key qualifications:
The Global Affairs and Partnerships (GAP) team at Search for Common Ground (Search) is seeking an intern for the Spring 2020 to provide research and administrative support to the organizations overall fundraising and knowledge management activities. GAP helps advance Search's peacebuilding mission by contributing to fundraising, organizational partnerships, project design, and proposal development for global programs.
Program development interns play a critical role in Search's peacebuilding programs through fundraising from governments, multilateral organizations, and foundations, and the design of new programs in coordination with our regional teams.
Responsibilities:
