Biography

Alisha Chandra is from Chattanooga, TN and graduated from the Baylor School. There, she served as a Site Leader with the RESPECT mentoring program working with elementary schoolers, conducted machine learning research on degenerative eye diseases as a Thesis Scholar, and was co-President of the Debate Club, leading students to compete at three mock government conferences annually. In Chattanooga, she worked with prospective citizenship applicants to provide civics exam preparation classes in Spanish and served as a policy analyst intern for the Women's Fund of Greater Chattanooga, examining state legislation and surveying community members. At Dartmouth, she is a mentor with SIBS, works with local nonprofits through Foundations in Social Impact, and serves as the Fundraising Director for the college's Planned Parenthood chapter. She plans on majoring in Quantitative Social Sciences and minoring in Public Policy and her personal interests include film photography, making matcha and yoga.
