Amol Bhingarde '28 grew up in Edison, New Jersey, graduating from J.P. Stevens High School. At J.P., Amol was class president, lead trombonist and a soloist in his school's jazz ensemble, a marching band captain, and secretary-general of his school's Model UN team. After graduating high school, Amol received the US Department of State's NSLI-Y scholarship to travel to Taiwan and study Chinese for a year. While in Taiwan, he attained an advanced proficiency in Chinese, engaged in cultural exchange by living with a local host family, and acted as an American cultural ambassador. At Dartmouth, Amol has been involved as an attorney in the Mock Trial Society, a member of the Film Society, and participant in the DCSI's Winterim ImpACT project. He is planning to major in Government and Chinese.
