Carter Hoskins from Long Island, NY, graduated from Baldwin High School as an AP scholar with distinction, senior class vice president, and varsity track and field captain. Growing up in Long Island cultivated his interest in policy and community engagement. While in high school, he served leadership roles in organizations such as Athletes Helping Athletes and Jack and Jill, planning and participating in events to provide youth mentorship, lobby for racial justice, and promote environmental and civic responsibilty. He also interned with Nassau County Democrats for his state representative's election campaign. At Dartmouth College, he intends to major in government and minor in public policy. He is a Dartmouth Civics Ambassador, frequently involved as a member of the NAACP and Afro-American Society, and selected as a participant in the DCSI's Foundations in Social Impact program. He hopes to take these experiences to promote racial and environmental equity.
