Carter Hoskins from Long Island, NY, graduated from Baldwin High School as an AP scholar with distinction, vice president of the senior class, and varsity track and field captain. Growing up in Long Island cultivated his interest in policy and community engagement. Through involvement in organizations such as Athletes Helping Athletes and Jack and Jill, he has led countless initiatives and events to provide youth mentorship, promote environmental sustainability, and stay involved civically. While in high school, he also interned for his state representative's election campaign. At Dartmouth College, he intends to major in government and minor in public policy. He is a Dartmouth Civics Ambassador, frequently involved as a member of the NAACP and Afro-American society, and selected as a participant in the DCSI's foundations in social impact program. He hopes to take these experiences to promote racial and environmental equity in his community and communities worldwide.
