Chidera C. Duru

Chidera Duru '25 is from Lagos, Nigeria, and graduated from Loyola Jesuit College. While in high school, Chidera was Vice President of her school's UNESCO Club and a member of the Speech and Debate Team and Track and Field Team. Before starting at Dartmouth, Chidera took a gap year where she volunteered at a children's hospice in Lagos and as a mentor to high schoolers at a college consulting firm. At Dartmouth, Chidera plans to pursue a major in Economics with minors in Public Policy and African and African American Studies. She is a Dickey Center Great Issues Scholar, a member of the Sadie Alexander Association, and involved in the Political Economy Project. After Dartmouth, Chidera hopes to pursue a career in international finance or an advanced degree in economics.
