Claudia Shin '28 is from Los Angeles, CA, and graduated from Granada Hills Charter High School as valedictorian with an International Baccalaureate diploma. As a military kid, service has shaped her passion for policy and civic engagement. In high school, she represented her fellow military dependents to military leadership, advocating for military-connected communities. Passionate about the intersection of arts and policy, Claudia explored these themes through documentary filmmaking, journalism, and Making Music That Matters, a project partnering with local government to use music for social change. At Dartmouth, she intends to double major in Film and Media Studies and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. She is a Great Issue Scholar and involved in student films, Dartmouth College Radio, the Dartmouth Film Society, the Dartmouth Minority Pre-Law Association, and The Dartmouth. After graduation, Claudia plans to attend law school and pursue a career in intellectual property or public service.
