Dylan Smith grew up in Los Angeles, California, graduating as Valedictorian from Saint Monica Preparatory. Here, she co-founded the Taylor Swift Club, served as Senior Class President, and led on the field as co-captain of the Varsity Softball team. Dylan has a deep passion for medicine and public health, working previously at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center investigating the use of stem cells in neurodegenerative diseases. She has also been an avid volunteer for Baby2Baby, a nonprofit serving underprivileged children. Since coming to Dartmouth, Dylan has joined Dr. Arti Gaur's lab focusing on Alzheimer's research, became a dedicated member of Dartmouth EMS, and was named social media chair of the Habitat for Humanity club. She plans on majoring in Biological Sciences on the pre-health track and minoring in Public Policy. Her interest in medicine and healthcare equity drives Dylan's goal of becoming a physician working to improve health policy for all patients.
