Biography

Gabriel Wierzchowski grew up in Beijing, China, and Tokyo, Japan, before graduating as valedictorian of Fox Lane High School in Bedford, New York. In high school, Gabriel conducted pancreatic cancer research with the University of Florida, which inspired his interest in healthcare economics and policy. Further exploring this passion, he led an original paper on financial insecurity among patients with obstructive lung disease in collaboration with researchers from Duke University. At Dartmouth, Gabriel is a member of the club men’s volleyball team and has worked as a peer tutor for ECON 1. He plans to study Quantitative Social Science with a minor in Public Policy to continue exploring his love for statistics, economics, and policymaking.
