Ines Charles ‘29 was raised in Brooklyn, NY where she graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction and with an AP Capstone Diploma. She was a Law and Society Major, co-president of the wind ensemble, and reached competition level on the step team. At Dartmouth, she explores her love of performance and creative pursuits through playing trumpet with Dartmouth College Wind Ensemble and Marching Band, dancing with Soyeya: African Dance Troupe, and writing poetry with Spilled Ink. She represents her fellow first-years and the wider Dartmouth community as a representative in the Dartmouth Student Government, a first-year representative of Quisqueyanos at Dartmouth, and a member of the South House Council. Ines aims to major in Government with minors in Computer Science and French.
