JJ Dega '26 joins the Rockefeller Center as its first Postgraduate Policy Fellow following four years of deep engagement with Rocky's programs. Dega's research examines how legal and political institutions shape resource distribution, access to justice, and the exercise of power, with particular focus on the judiciary. At Rocky, he is launching the Justice Policy Project alongside Postdoctoral Research Associate Dr. Elizabeth Pfeffer. He has worked in the US Senate and US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. His undergraduate policy research includes briefs formally adopted by the New Hampshire Supreme Court's Access to Justice Commission, and presented to the Vermont House Judiciary Committee. In his fellowship role, Dega supports the Center's scholarly research, teaching, and programming. He graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth in 2026 with a degree in History Modified with Economics and Institutions and a minor in Public Policy. Outside his research, JJ loves tennis and exploring the New Hampshire outdoors.
