Maxine is the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of EMCOR Group, Inc. (NYSE: EME), a Fortune 500 specialty construction and industrial and facilities services company with over $9 billion in revenue and 33,000 employees. In this role, Maxine leads all legal and compliance functions, the negotiation, consummation and integration of M&A transactions, cybersecurity, labor and employment issues, and diversity and inclusion efforts. She advises the EMCOR Board of Directors on compliance with the rules and regulations of the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission and New York Stock Exchange, corporate governance, shareholder engagement, risk management, and ESG issues. She is also responsible for crises management and pandemic protocols.
Maxine joined EMCOR in 2002 as Assistant General Counsel and was promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel in 2012. She became the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of EMCOR in 2016 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2021.
Maxine spent the first six years of her career at Ropes & Gray LLP as a corporate associate focused on structuring and closing M&A transactions and advising both corporate and private equity clients on financing activities, public offerings and public company compliance.
Maxine previously served as a member of the Dartmouth College Alumni Council and was elected to its Nominating and Alumni Trustee Search Committee. She is a former Board Member and Co-President of the Native American Alumni Association of Dartmouth College. Currently, Maxine is a member of the Native American Visiting Committee. For her service to Dartmouth, Maxine was awarded the Jonathan Clarkson Gibbs Dartmouth Group Leader of the Year Award.
Maxine currently serves on the Board of Directors of Novanta Inc. (NASDAQ: NOVT), a designer and manufacturer of precision photonics and motion control systems. She is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of New York, and on the CT Governor’s Council on Women and Girls.
Maxine graduated with a B.A., summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School. Originally from Honolulu, Hawai’i, Maxine lives in Greenwich, CT with her husband, Dino Mauricio (’90), and two children, Vanessa (’21) and Michael (’24).
