Biography
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth College, where I serve as Manager of the Class of 1964 Policy Research Shop. My research examines how state political and social institutions shape policy outcomes across the U.S., with a focus on inequality and redistribution, punitive poverty governance, and citizen-state interaction. My dissertation research has received several honors, including the Sammy Younge Best Graduate Student Paper Awards (2021 and 2025) and the Jo Ann Gibson Robinson Award from the Association for the Study of Black Women in Politics (2024). My previous work has been cited in the Texas Tribune, with newer work forthcoming in State Politics and Policy Quarterly (SPPQ), and I was recently awarded the 2026 APSA Early Career Research Grant. For the past six years, I have been a member of the instructional team for Race, Ethnicity, and Quantitative Methods courses at ICPSR at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, currently serving as the instructor of record.
