Nardos Mengesha '28 hails from Aldie, Virginia and graduated from Lightridge High School and the Academy of Science as a nationally recognized debater and award-winning researcher. In high school, Nardos served as Director of Education at Encode Justice, partnering with federal stakeholders to advance ethical AI policy initiatives. She co-founded Young Researchers Academy, a STEM mentorship organization connecting middle schoolers with high school mentors, leading three projects to national recognition. She served as Vice President of MENTOR Virginia's Youth Ambassadors Council, lobbying for increased funding for youth mentorship policies, and interned with Loudoun Democrats during Virginia's 2021 gubernatorial election. At Dartmouth, Nardos is pursuing Economics with minors in Computer Science and Public Policy. She is an analyst at Dartmouth Investment and Philanthropy Program, a tour guide for Admissions, Junior Director of Investments for Dartmouth Blockchain, and a dancer with Soyeya. Her policy interests include AI, cryptocurrency, and economic policy.
