Victoria Kartashev ‘29 is from Sharon, Massachusetts, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sharon High School and was awarded the Superintendent’s Award for Outstanding Student Achievement. In high school, Victoria served as Debate Team Captain and History Bowl Team Captain while also working as Program Director for the Fremont Debate Academy, a nonprofit teaching students the fundamentals of debate. Victoria worked as a translator and tour guide at the Massachusetts State House, a path she will pursue through Dartmouth’s Translation Studies minor. At Dartmouth, she is the Operations Chair of the Parliamentary Debate Team and an Associate Editor for the Dartmouth Law Journal. Victoria has published poetry in several magazines, including Eunoia and Gingerbug Press, and worked for creative writing nonprofits. She plans to major in Government and Psychology, then go on to attend law school while writing many, many poems in her spare time.
