Will Nelson '27 hails from Jamestown, North Dakota and graduated with highest honors from Jamestown High School. At JHS, Will was Student Body President, Swim Team Captain, a state Speech champion, and liaison to the JPS School Board. In North Dakota, Will served on the Department of Health's Youth Advisory Board and the State Superintendent's Student Cabinet. He principally advocated for mental health resources and LGBTQ rights. He also represented his home state as a U.S. Senate Page, Boys Nation Senator, and U.S. Senate Youth Program Delegate. At Dartmouth, he plans to study History and Government with a minor in Public Policy. He's an executive at the Dartmouth Civics Association, an ambassador with the Dartmouth Political Union, an Admissions Tour Guide, a Social Impact Non-Profit Consultant, and a Dickey Center Great Issues Scholar. After graduation, he plans to attend law school with hopes to work in upper midwest politics or the judiciary.
