Yasmine Marrero

Yasmine Marrero '27 is from Alexandria, Virginia, and graduated from Thomas Edison High School with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. In high school, Yasmine served as the Young FLAPers Director of the Friends of Lake Accotink Park and received Fairfax County's Elly Doyle Youth Service Award for her extensive contributions to the community. She was also President of her school's Future Business Leaders of America chapter, the Virginia State Social Media Coordinator of Citizens' Climate Lobby, and a Model UN competitor. At Dartmouth, Yasmine plans to major in Government on the International Relations track and is especially interested in security and global injustices. She is the Director of Outreach and Social Media for the World Outlook Journal of International Affairs, a Great Issues Scholar, the passionate Newsletter Editor for the nonprofit Supporting and Helping Refugees and Asylees, and a member of Dartmouth Model UN. After college, Yasmine hopes to pursue a career in foreign policy or human rights.
