Yazid is a ‘29 from Brooklyn, New York, studying Government and Middle Eastern Studies with a minor in Education. At Staten Island Technical High School, he was involved in the MUN Team, the Civics and JSA Clubs, and Student Government.On campus, he works for the Dartmouth Law Journal, organizes events with the Civics Club, and works with the Social Impact Nonprofit Consulting Team or SINC. Beyond Hanover and home, Yazid loves to write short stories, take long walks on the beach, and volunteer at youth centers in his local community. He’s worked in the law sector over the years through his work interning at the Brooklyn DA’s office, and conducting research at the queer rights center Al-Shehab, as well as the Egyptian Foundation for Human Rights, both based in Alexandria, Egypt. He hopes to continue studying law and government in relation to international and Middle Eastern politics.
