Air Travel

• Boston Logan (BOS; 2 hr 20 min drive from campus), w/ Dartmouth Coach connection (see below), or car rental connection, or Cape Air connection (see below) to Lebanon Municipal Airport
• Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT; 1 hr 20 min drive from campus), w/ car rental, or bus connection
• Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV; 1 hr 30 min drive from campus), w/ car rental
• Bradley International Airport (BDL; 2 hour 20 min drive from campus), w/ car rental
• Cape Air flies to the Lebanon Municipal Airport, 15 minutes away, multiple times daily from Boston Logan, and Westchester County Airport outside of New York City, w/ car rental services available on site

Bus Service, including from Boston and New York City

• Dartmouth Coach has multiple trips daily from Boston Logan and South Station, and from NYC/Grand Central Station, to Hanover NH and Lebanon NH.

Dartmouth Coach from Boston Logan Airport:

Dartmouth Coach discharges and picks-up passengers at Logan Airport Terminals A, B, C and E only. Please be aware that some coaches are dropping off passengers ONLY. Dartmouth Coach drops off on the upper level and picks up on the lower level.

Allow 30–45 minutes between Logan Airport and South Station to make connections. Due to traffic, the bus may not be able to stop in the exact location, but will pull to the curb as close as possible. The driver will exit the bus, and call the destination of that coach. It is important for passengers to pay attention and be in the designated area prior to departure time.

All Logan Airport arrival and departure times listed are for Terminal A. All other stops are approximate: for Terminal B, add 2 minutes; Terminal C, add 4 minutes; Terminal E, add 5 minutes.

Dartmouth Coach connections to Lebanon hotels and shuttle service:

On the day of arrival (Friday 5/30), we will have shuttle services from the Dartmouth Coach Hanover dropoff site to Lebanon area hotels (in addition to shuttle services from the Lebanon hotels to/from dinner in Hanover).  On the day of departure (Sunday 6/1), we will have shuttle services from the Lebanon area hotels to the Dartmouth Coach Lebanon Bus Terminal (in addition to shuttle services from the Lebanon hotels to/from breakfast in Hanover).  There will also be shuttle service all day Saturday from Lebanon to/from Hanover for breakfast, the conference events, and after dinner.

For those staying in Hanover, the Coach drops off and picks up a 3 minute walk from the Inn, right across the Green, in front of Rauner.

Car Rental

A range of national car rental services have offices in and around the Upper Valley.  Car rentals from airports are often a convinient option, when possible.    

Zipcars are also available on campus.

Train

Amtrak offers once-daily service to/from the area, though the train station is 10-15 minutes from campus and the hotels, Uber/Lyft are not reliable in the Upper Valley, and unless the hotel can arrange pick up at the Amtrak station, this is not a great option)

Ride Sharing / Uber / Lyft

Generally not reliably available in the Upper Valley, alas.  Do not plan on being able to use such services.  Sometimes they work; sometimes they do not.
