MLDP Excellence for Fall 2019

Each term the Management Leadership Development Program provides students with the opportunity to reflect on their leadership experience and build the skills to be more effective leaders. At each session, participants are asked to nominate their peers for excellence. When nominating, students are asked to explain why their nominees made their experience in MLDP more beneficial and how their nominees provided an excellent example of leadership during the program. At the end of the term, students must have perfect attendance and be nominated multiple times, by multiple peers to complete the program with excellence. Below are the collaborated comments about those who completed the Management and Leadership Development Program with excellence in Fall 2019. We thank them for their effort and commitment to the program. Congratulations!

Ezi Anozie ’22

Ezi’s warm and upbeat presence made others feel comfortable during the dinner discussions and the larger group sessions. She demonstrated excellent management and leadership skills by empowering those around her and bringing others together towards a common goal. Her peers described her as kind, helpful, and a joy to be around. We thank Ezi for her enthusiastic dedication to the program this term. 

Billy Hobbs ’22

Billy excelled in MLDP this term by consistently offering thoughtful insights with each activity. His peers described him as logical and candid, and even outside of his own group, his insights improved team dynamics. He was an example of mature and consistent management and leadership with an emphasis on positive relations with others. It was a pleasure to have Billy in the program.

Elizabeth Hobbs ’22

Elizabeth’s peers described her presence as energetic, intentional, and thoughtful. Every week, she went out of her way to make everyone feel included. She was unafraid to voice her opinions elegantly, and her openness moved those around her. She actively led others while becoming their friend. We thank her for her enthusiastic commitment to the program.

Max Holden ’22

Throughout the program, Max was an active participant and shared important insights that helped deepen the learning for others. His fellow participants described him as a kind and attentive individual with a warm presence. Many appreciated his great advice and quiet, but mighty leadership style. Max was an absolute pleasure to have in the program this term.

Lily Johnson ’21

Throughout the program Lily showed brilliant qualities as a leader and manager. Her approach to leadership artfully balanced kindness and charisma. She understood the power of her voice, and the power of her ears. Moreover, she showed initiative in making up her off-campus session and was a joy in sessions and at her dinner discussion table. It was a pleasure to have Lily in the program this term.

Sasha Kokoshinskiy ’22

Sasha was selected because of how he made an effort to make other participant’s experiences more fulfilling. He was always looking for ways to make sure everyone was included in the conversations. He was able to keep the group on track but have fun at the same time. Many appreciated his confidence and the thoughtfulness of his contributions. We thank him for his enthusiastic commitment to the program.

Kyle Mullins ’22

Kyle was recognized for his intentional interactions and well-thought-out contributions to all discussions. We have seen him excel in being the type of leader that brings other people together by never hesitating to get the conversation going and share moments of vulnerability with his group members. We thank him for his enthusiastic commitment to the program.

India Nelson ’20

Throughout the program India heightened the experienced of everyone involved with her tenacity, thoughtfulness, and can-do attitude.  By helping others outside the program and strengthening the experience inside the program, she shined as both a leader and a manager. Her willingness to show vulnerability and positive engagement was felt widely throughout. It was a pleasure to have India in the program this term.

Nate Pucci ’22

This fall in MLDP, Nate was able to bring out the best in people. His active listening skills and enthusiastic engagement made him a role model throughout the program. Many peers noted how he made them feel comfortable in conversations and appreciated his willingness to step into the learning zone. Besides all of this, he received the most nominations this term from his fellow participants.

Rachel Quist ’22

Rachel impressed her peers with her positive enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to the activities and the program overall. She fostered a welcoming environment in the dinner discussions and the larger group sessions. Her mature presence and thoughtful contributions were felt throughout the term. Rachel was such a pleasure to have in the program this term.

Kai Sane ’21

This fall in MLDP, Kai masterfully employed his heartfelt charisma in order to serve in MLDP as a great leader and manager. As evidenced by his many nominations for excellence, his sincerity, honesty, and positive presence was felt throughout the whole program. Moreover, his sharp wit brightened the larger sessions and the dinner discussions. It was a pleasure to have Kai in the program this term.

Alex Soong ’21

Alex earned excellence for his ability to use vulnerability as a means to bring people together. We saw his wonderful leadership abilities early in the term when he bravely volunteered to share an experience with failure in his journey to become a drill instructor. Additionally, we recognized him for his intuitive listening skills and positive, constructive feedback during group sessions.

Lily Steckel ’22

Lily’s determination and commitment to MLDP shined through in the way she consistently contributed to conversations throughout. She was thoughtful, confident, and willing to open up. This encouraged her teammates to stay engaged. She demonstrated strong leadership and management skills like active listening and giving helpful feedback. Furthermore, her peers noted she is really good at not using filler words.
