“I am very grateful to the Rockefeller Center for providing me with this summer opportunity. As a John A. Springer ’53 Intern I had the financial resource to pursue this unpaid internship that provided me with invaluable experience, knowledge, and contacts for the rest of my Dartmouth and future professional careers.”
Reflecting upon her internship, Meyer described her growth, both personally and professionally, as a direct result of her real-life experience as an intern: “My work this summer reinforced my academic interests and career plans. Working with patients reinforced my desire to become a primary care physician and learning about shared decision-making and hearing from physicians who work to advance it reinforced my desire to work in health policy reform and to develop better methods of healthcare delivery in the future.”
Meyer has been involved with the Rockefeller Center since her first year, and is a student researcher in the Policy Research Shop and a 2011-2012 First-Year Fellow. Since returning from her internship, Meyer continues to be involved at the Rockefeller Center and in the field of health care policy. For Meyer’s full biography, please visit our Flickr site.
