Brief Description of the organization:
New America is pioneering a new kind of think and action tank: a civic platform that connects a research institute, technology lab, solutions network, media hub and public forum.

Brief Description of the Intern's role or key qualifications:
New America seeks applicants who have a strong interest in events, public policy, and analytics for our paid Winter/Spring 2020 Events and Production internship.
This intern will provide support to the Events department, aiding New America's external relations and outreach efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in the event management field looking to build new skills and learn more about developing and executing events in a professional setting.
Candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and writing skills and attention to detail in their applications. The ideal candidate has some experience or interest in events or customer service roles.
Start and end dates are flexible. An early January start date is preferred; the internship can extend as late as June 2020.
