Mock Trial is a competition that involves students performing as both attorneys and witnesses in a simulated trial based on real-world cases and law. Through engaging in trial competitions with other institutions, students develop critical thinking and public speaking skills, as well as a knowledge of legal practices and procedures. Many of our members go on to attend the nation’s top law schools and public policy programs.
The Rockefeller Center continues to be a key supporter of the Dartmouth Mock Trial Team. Our members have participated in many different Rocky programs, from First Year Fellows to MLDP to RLF, and many more are pursuing the minor in Public Policy. We hope to share the skills and experiences we learn at competition with Rocky and the Dartmouth community. We’re very thankful for all the support from Rocky!
The Dartmouth Mock Trial Team will continue its season in the winter where we will be competing in the American Mock Trial Association National Competition. Last year, Dartmouth won its regional and sent two team to the next round of competition for the first time. We will be looking to build upon last years and this past weekend’s success!
