Benjamin Simon is a first-year student at Dartmouth who plans to major in Quantitative Social Science and minor in government. He was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, where he worked for Ashley's Ice Cream and volunteered for New Haven Reads, a local after-school tutoring program, and Save the Sound, a local conservation organization. At Hopkins School, Benjamin founded and led the school's Amnesty International Chapter, where he organized student-led events, such as letter-writing campaigns, discussions, and social media campaigns. He also headed the Peaches improvisation group, sang in the Harmonaires A Cappella group, and captained the Hopkins Varsity Crew and Basketball—earning Male Athlete of the Year honors. At Dartmouth, Benjamin continued his athletics by joining the Men's Club Basketball team, which competes in tournaments throughout the Northeast. After college, Ben plans to utilize his degree by attending law school and pursuing a career as a political strategist.
