Taylor Pichette is the Program Officer in the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences at Dartmouth College. Taylor is an experienced government relations professional with a history of working at the intersection of government and industry. Taylor has participated in leading nonprofit organizations, lecturing and presenting to large and small groups, and managing political campaigns. Taylor is passionate about education policy and technology implementation with emphasis on public private partnerships and workforce development.
Taylor most recently worked with Northstar Recycling, managing organic material contracts for large food manufacturers. In this capacity, he focused on new laws and efforts to remove organic waste from landfills and increase re-use of organic material for biodiesel and other uses.
Taylor spent more than ten years working with the New England Council in Washington, DC, where he focused on education policy for the New England region. Taylor also led the New England Council's working groups on technology, trade and manufacturing. In this capacity, Taylor scheduled meetings and events with lawmakers and key policy experts and advocated for education policy at the federal level.
Taylor graduated from the George Washington University (MBA) and Northeastern University (BA), with an emphasis on leveraging business outcomes into social benefits. During college, he studied in Brazil, Lebanon, and Egypt and worked with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. He enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, live music, art, and yoga.
Taylor is excited to return to New England after working and living for more than 10 years in Washington, DC! Taylor is originally from Westhampton, MA and now lives in Bellows Falls, Vermont.
