Brief Description of the organization:
Jason Kander, a former Army Captain and Secretary of State from Missouri, started Let America Vote to fight back against proposals across the country that make it harder for eligible voters to exercise their constitutional right to cast a ballot. Whether it's extreme identification requirements, questionable purges of voter rolls, voter intimidation, new and extreme voter registration processes, or anything that makes voting harder, Let America Vote will be there to lead the way against it. Through grassroots organizing, Let America Vote will play a crucial role among the existing network of organizations fighting for voting rights.
Brief Description of the Intern's role or key qualifications:
We are seeking bright, energetic individuals who want to join our ground game effort in the fight to protect voting rights. You will learn the nuts and bolts of how a professional campaign operates, the intricacies of New Hampshire state politics, and help elect great candidates committed to protecting every Granite Stater's constitutional right to vote.
Let America Vote's intern and fellowship programs are designed to be an enriching educational experience that gives participants the knowledge of how to design and execute field programs that achieve real results. Interns and fellows will engage in daily field activities and weekly exercises in professional development, learn from and work alongside seasoned campaign professionals, and hear from a variety of political guest speakers throughout the program. We're a hardworking group, but we know how to have fun too. Expect to leave the program ready to take your political organizing skills to the next level, with the added bonus of having made a lot of new friends.
