Brief Description of the organization:

New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority is a self-supporting public corporation that promotes, finances and supports affordable housing. NHHFA has multi-family rental housing and homeownership programs that assist low- and moderate-income persons with obtaining affordable housing. Since its inception, New Hampshire Housing has helped more than 45,000 families purchase their own home and has supported the creation of 15,000 multi-family housing units.

Established by statute in 1981, New Hampshire Housing receives no operating funds from the state government.

MISSION STATEMENT: New Hampshire Housing's mission is to promote, finance and support affordable housing and related services for the people of New Hampshire.

Brief Description of the Intern's role or key qualifications:

New Hampshire Housing seeks a full time Manager, Public Affairs, responsible for providing technical advice and related services to senior staff pertaining to housing and land use policy. The successful candidate will have the ability to interact with state and local governmental officials and entities on behalf of NHHFA and monitor state and federal legislation related to housing and land development, as well as any other related legislation. Ideal candidate should have experience drafting legislation, conducting research, preparing reports, and delivering presentations, as well as strong business writing skills, public speaking skills, and knowledge of housing programs.
