Habitat for Humanity, founded in 1976, is a global, Christian-based nonprofit organization that grew out of an intentionally multi-racial community in rural Georgia. Brief Description of the Intern's role or key qualifications:

  • Work closely with the Government Relations & Advocacy team around the communication, outreach, and mobilization efforts related to the U.S. advocacy campaign
  • Assist with maintaining communication channels about the U.S. campaign, including social media
  • Track enrollment of U.S. Habitat affiliates in the campaign
  • Microsoft Office Savvy
  • Support planning for annual legislative conference, Habitat on the Hill
  • Support U.S. Habitat affiliate involvement in the campaign by developing materials and building their advocacy capacity through effective trainings
  • Develop tools to ensure the Habitat network and general public both meaningfully engage in the U.S. advocacy campaign
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
